Bridging Neuroscience, Art, and Therapy: A Journey Into Memory and Relationship

This immersive webinar invites participants to explore the deep connection between art, memory, and healing through the lens of Imago Relationship Therapy. Together, we will view See Memory—a thirty-minute, hand-painted film composed of more than 30,000 painting stills—that examines how trauma, imagination, and emotional experience continuously reshape who we are and how we relate to others.

Guided by Imago Therapist Cheryl Dolinger Brown and filmmaker Viviane Silvera, participants will reflect on how traumatic memories are formed and transformed in the presence of empathy and safety. The session will illuminate why partners often recall the same event in completely different ways, and how the practice of Imago Dialogue can bridge those differing realities, fostering understanding and repair.

Through film, discussion, and guided reflection, participants will examine how memories are not fixed records but living stories reimagined through connection. The workshop will also demonstrate how creative expression and metaphor can expand clients’ emotional capacity, deepening presence, curiosity, and regulation within the therapeutic space.
