Communologue: the third leg of Imago (couples, individuals, and groups), is a powerful dialogical tool for safe communication and connection in groups. It is a guided process, which creates and maintains a conversational space; where diversity is welcomed and all feel heard, understood, and respected. Communologue provides a unique opportunity for communities to move from entrenched conflict and distrust into a space of compassion, deep understanding, and a free-flowing exchange of ideas.
While not specifically task-oriented, nor a technique for problem-solving or conflict resolution, Communologue is a process of coming together in a reliably safe space where tasks may be accomplished, problems may be solved, and conflicts may be resolved. Imago Professionals will experience the Communologue process and acquire the tools for applying it in their own practice and community.
Communologue contributes to achieving peace In our world by bringing together these elements:
- Safety, which is essential to any communication.
- Honor, for each person, and what they bring.
- Hope, where there may have been none before.
Shhhh...peace is listening!
After this webinar, participants will be able to:
- list the norms and guidelines of Communologue
- define the steps of the Communologue process in any group setting
- apply the principle of Pre-Validation to ensure every opinion is heard and valued
- identify and intervene appropriately on “Mastertalk”
- apply and guide “mirroring” in a communological way
- conduct Communologue groups
