My Sweet Home in the Imago World
This breakout session invites participants to share their Imago journeys in small groups of three to five. Using reflective sentence stems such as “The way I found the Imago community was…” and “A challenge I have confronted with my Imago work is…,” attendees are mirrored and validated by their peers. The session fosters connection, inspiration, and deeper self-reflection, as each participant receives feedback like “Here’s how I relate to your story…” and “Here’s how your story inspires thoughts about my own next steps.” Participants leave with a sense of belonging and renewed purpose in their Imago work.

Healing Through Art and Dialogue: Uncovering Unmet Childhood Needs with Creative Arts and Imago Dialogue
This breakout session offers an experiential journey into the transformative combination of creative arts and Imago dialogue. Participants engage in a hands-on creative art exercise to access and express unmet childhood needs. The session then introduces Imago dialogue as a tool for fostering understanding, empathy, and healing in the context of these discoveries. Attendees leave with deeper self-awareness and practical tools for meaningful healing conversations.

Imago in Action: Building Relational Skills in Estonian High Schools
In this session, Karis Ross and Kairi Tozen-Pütsepp share their experiences teaching Imago in Estonian high schools during the 2024/2025 academic year. They describe their hands-on, engaging approach, which integrates Imago dialogues, group work, and interactive games to foster empathy, active listening, and emotional awareness among students. The presenters highlight the importance of creating a safe, open environment and demonstrate how practical Imago tools help young people express themselves, resolve conflicts, and build meaningful relationships. Insights, methods, and real-life impacts from their work will be discussed.

JEDI's Home in Imago
In this breakout session, the JEDI Circle explores the intersection of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) within the Imago Community and beyond. The session will link to other discussiona on the concept of home during the conference, inviting participants to engage in a deeper exploration of JEDI issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect, reflect, and contribute to the ongoing conversation about belonging and transformation within Imago and the larger world.

Listening When You’d Rather Not – Bridging Divides
This breakout session equips mental health professionals with strategies to bridge divides in an era of extreme polarization. Participants explore how to help clients—and themselves—recognize and manage their “inner polarizer” when confronted with moral outrage or deep differences in core beliefs. Through discussion and practical exercises, attendees learn to remain non-judgmental and present, even when listening feels most difficult. The session offers tools to support clients, loved ones, and communities in fostering understanding and connection across divides.

Beautiful Lies and Ethical Alibis – Relational Ethics
This session invites Imago practitioners to re-examine the ethical foundation of couples therapy through the lens of relational ethics. Rather than viewing neutrality as the ethical standard, the session positions Imago Dialogue as a living ethical process that enacts relational clarity in real time. Drawing on theoretical frameworks such as Buber’s I-Thou, care ethics, and systems theory, participants explore how Dialogue transforms concepts like confidentiality, consent, and boundaries. The session challenges practitioners to see Dialogue not just as a technique, but as the central ethical work of relational therapy.

The Blend of Structure & Attunement – Becoming an Imago Artist
In this interactive seminar, participants delve into the art of balancing structure and attunement in Imago work with couples. The session emphasizes the importance of pacing, flexibility, and deep listening to create connection, safety, and growth. Attendees learn how to adapt the Dialogue process to meet each couple’s unique needs, deepen clinical skills, and foster exploration and forward movement. Through experiential learning, practitioners gain tools to become more attuned and effective in their clinical practice.

Delighting in the Lover You Have
This session focuses on helping clients rediscover and enhance the delight and erotic connection in their intimate relationships, regardless of relationship duration. Participants learn techniques and exercises to shift attention from frustrations and disappointments to the positives and possibilities within their partnerships. The session provides practical tools to support couples in maintaining fun, excitement, and intimacy well into later life, using Imago Dialogues and experiential methods.
