Having a relationship that is connected and alive is a major challenge in our lives. Too often, we sacrifice our individual vitality in order for the relationship to survive. Cycles of blame/shame seem endless. With some couples, an atmosphere of distance has settled in that feels frozen as sex becomes infrequent and routinized.
Couples therapy offers the opportunity to regenerate connection that has been drifting, perhaps lost, over the years. Specific strategies for renewed closeness are developed, often emerging out of a detailed working through of what part of the problem lies within me and what part of it belongs to my partner.
I've been working with couples over 35 years and personally value the healing potential of relationships. As a psychologist and psychoanalyst, I also have developed a training program in couples therapy for experienced clinicians. I welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss how to evaluate and improve your relationship.
I offer remote therapy online or by phone.
I am currently accepting new clients.
