This Course educates and demonstrates how connecting the body and mind through Sensory Processing decreases anxiety, fear and resistance, and enhances safety, trust and connection in all relationships. Within the first class, clinicians will begin using Sensory Processing strategies and techniques that increase and support their clients’ neurological ability to successfully participate in the Imago Dialogue with their partner.
After this course, participants will be able to:
Utilize sensory theories & strategies to help facilitate improved sensory awareness, sensory processing and “window of tolerance” management. This will facilitate trust and connection, and promote ability to engage and hold connection.
Discuss how a safe connection is enhanced by sensory processing work, and use self-regulating tools to help in creating meaningful relationships.
Identify and describe interoception, and demonstrate how interoceptive awareness is required before desirable and healthy self-regulating and self-identity can exist. This will do the following:
Calculate ways to decrease immobilizing emotions: anxiety, fear, depression…
Examine ways to increase the awareness of SAFETY and CONNECTION.
Develop DIFFERENTIATION and HEALING of past developmental hurts
Illustrate GROWTH into WHOLENESS within the Individual and Social Journeys
