Become an Imago Relationships Therapist

Are you thinking about offering couples therapy but don’t really know where to start? Have you tried working with couples, but at times felt really stuck? Have you studied other approaches but wish to continue to learn and grow as a couples therapist?

When you use the Imago approach, couples often feel much more connected...even after their very first session. The Imago structure can help couples create conscious, loving relationships, and clinicians often find renewed confidence and excitement with couples work!

The Path to Certification

What is the path to Certification in Imago Relationship Therapy (IRT)?

  • Attend a Getting the Love You Want Weekend Workshop*.
  • Attend all 12 Days of Imago Clinical Training delivered in three four-day modules as detailed below.
  • Complete 6 months of follow-up clinical consultation, showing videos of your developing skill in IRT.
  • Assist at a Getting the Love You Want Weekend Workshop during or shortly after Clinical Training.

*Recommended, but not required, to be completed before training begins. Must be completed prior to certification.

Deposit (due at registration): $500*

*The remainder of the cost will be paid directly to the training instructor.

Total Cost

12-day training - $3000 ($1000/module)

Payment Schedule...

  • $500 due at registration
  • $500 due 1 week prior to Mod 1
  • $1000 due 1 week prior to Mod 2
  • $1000 due 1 week prior to Mod 3

Getting The Love You Want Workshop - $795

Clinical Consultation - $75/session 

Options

If you'd like to bundle everything, the total cost is $4000, which includes training, workshop and six clinical consultation sessions.

If you're interested but not ready to commit to the full 12 days, you can take Days 1 & 2 for $250/day, then decide if you want to pursue the full training and certification.

These options can be arranged with the training instructor after registration.

About Jeannie Ingram

Jeannie Ingram is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Relationship Coach, and Faculty/Clinical Instructor for the Imago International Training Institute. She specializes in couples therapy as a certified  Imago Relationship Therapist and Getting the Love You Want Workshop Presenter. In workshops and in therapy, she helps couples move beyond negative, painful patterns to restore their connection by dramatically improving communication. Feeling deeply understood is a power aphrodisiac. When we unpack the deep desire that lives under every frustration, couples can live and love without defenses, and enjoy more positive, fulfilling, satisfying relationships.

Jeannie also assists individuals who need help improving ineffective patterns or managing life transitions to find positive change or growth.

She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. Jeannie helps couples reconnect in her private practice in Nashville, TN, and through her Getting the Love You Want and Start Right, Stay Connected Couples workshops in the Southeast. She also loves training new Imago Relationship Therapists,  teaching Imago theory and coaching the skills for helping couples reconnect.

She loves cooking, writing, hiking, kayaking, and sailing. Most of all, she is dedicated to helping couples and individuals find joy, meaning, success and connection through the practice of mindful, purposeful living and loving.

Cancellation

Registration cancellations made up to 30 days prior to the start of the course (the date of the first live class) will be refunded in full (less transaction fees). Cancellations made between 30 days and 1 week prior to the start of the course will be refunded minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than one week prior to the start of the course will be refunded minus a $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations after the first live class.
