Conference Update...

Like everything else with the pandemic we’re all living through, the future is still uncertain. It’s hard to know what will happen in the next 2 days, much less, months down the road.
 
Here’s where we are today, with the conference:
 
The Conference Circle has come to the conclusion that it’s not feasible to move forward with any plans for an in-person event in Nashville in October. Due to the uncertainty and ever-changing nature of the virus, there is too much risk, both financial and otherwise to move forward on this path.
 
Our ultimate goal is to cancel our contract with the hotel under the Impossibility clause, without financial penalty, and to get a full refund of all our deposits made to date. Unfortunately, so far, we have received pushback from the hotel on this course of action and therefore have sought legal counsel to help us achieve this goal with the least possible financial implications for the organization.
 
Our hope is to be able to provide a fully virtual conference that provides both the educational elements and social connections that we know the Imago community wants. We want to be able to provide a user-friendly, top-notch experience….and that does come at a cost. 
 
We won’t be able to really move forward down the virtual path until we have a better idea of what it will cost, in penalties and/or legal fees, to get the organization out of the contract with the hotel. In the meantime, we’re doing our due diligence and researching different platforms and providers for a digital conference and the possibilities are really exciting.
 
If all goes as we hope, everyone who has already registered for the conference will be able to simply have their registration applied to the virtual conference. We do understand that some may be wanting to cancel. At this time, with so much still unknown, the current cancellation policy is still in place. That’s likely to change in the near future and we ask that you continue to “hang in there” as the situation evolves.

Registration covers the cost of the conference and break refreshments. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for US $16.95 and we can't match that price by catering breakfast for you.  Lunch and dinner party options will be provided at a later date and will be at an additional cost.

Registration cancellations made between January 1, 2020 and Sept 15, 2020 will be refunded minus a $100 administrative fee.
